If you’re looking for a family-friendly volunteer experience this summer, then consider sharing your time and talents at the El Paso County Fair from July 11-18, and enjoy free admission!

Outstanding Fair Volunteer Award

The Outstanding Fair Volunteer Award recognizes an individual who has made exceptional contributions to the success of the El Paso County Fair through volunteer service, leadership, and dedication to the fairgrounds community. The award celebrates individuals whose efforts strengthen the Fair, support youth and agriculture, and enhance the experience for visitors, exhibitors, and participants.

The award is presented annually during the Fair VIP Reception.

Nomination Period Opens: March 12
Nomination Deadline: April 15

All nominations are reviewed by a Volunteer Award Selection Committee consisting of:

Fair staff representative(s)
Commissioner Liaison
Fair Advisory Board representative
Community or partner representative (ex: 4-H or Jr. Livestock Sale Committee)

Eligibility

Nominees must meet the following criteria:

Must have volunteered in support of the El Paso County Fair or Fairgrounds programs.
Volunteer service may support Fair operations, 4-H/FFA activities, committees, events, vendors, or community programming connected to the Fair.
Nominees may be affiliated with organizations such as 4-H, community groups, committees, vendors, or partner organizations.
Nominees must not be a current Fair staff member.
Previous recipients are eligible again after five (5) years.
Self-nominations are not permitted.
