2008 El Paso County Fair Queen

Caitlin Kern

Caitlin Kern, 18, of Colorado Springs, was named the 2008 El Paso County Fair Queen on Saturday, March 15 at the El Paso County Fair and Events Complex in Calhan.  She competed against six other candidates to win the title Fair Queen.

 

Caitlin is the daughter of Tamara and Bernie Kern from Colorado Springs.  She is currently a senior at Widefield High School.  After graduation she plans on going to Pikes Peak Community College to start her business management and marketing degree and wants to graduate from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.  She will use her degree to start a business in equine therapy. 

 

Caitlin’s has participated in the Pikes Peak Rangerettes for five years and held the offices of Secretary, Co-Captain and Captain. Also with the Pikes Peak Rangerettes she has been awarded in 2005 Rangerette Award for good attitude, cooperation and enthusiasm, 2007 Bob Phelps Award for Outstanding Service and 2005, 2006 & 2007 the Cheddy Thompson Award of Perfect Attendance.
